When you have the opportunity to work in this amazing field, you can't help but learn about the issues that face birthers, babies and their families - both locally and internationally. Having a desire to create meaningful change in the world, I wanted to share two organizations that I am currently supporting on their missions to provide safe, healthy and respectful prenatal and postpartum care.
I'm proud to say that I am a Birth Partner for this amazing organization that integrates "respectful, collaborative care into a maternal health approach with proven results. Shanti Uganda tackles maternal health challenges at the root and have created a sustainable model that can be replicated throughout Sub-Saharan Africa and other low resource regions throughout the world."

Working with Mothercraft Ottawa as a Birth Companion - an award-winning program that supports at-risk mothers during pregnancy and postpartum - has been a great experience. The team of caring professionals are very knowledgeable and provide fantastic programs and services to the local community.
